Your unused technology can have another life

You don’t necessarily need a new or perfect computer to help.

Laser Computers’ original appeal specifically stated that they were not particularly concerned about the age or condition of donated laptops, because their workshop could repair many machines and had spare parts and power adapters available.

For the new charity site I would phrase it:

We welcome equipment that is working or can reasonably be repaired and reused.

We accept: laptops, desktop computers, monitors, keyboards, mice, cables, chargers and other suitable computer equipment.

If you’re unsure whether something can be used, contact us before throwing it away. A device that has little value to you may still be extremely useful to someone else.

Your data matters. Donated equipment is processed securely before reuse. Equipment that cannot be reused should be handled responsibly rather than simply passed on.
