From a local computer business to a community helping Ukraine

Laser Computers has been part of the Dundrum community since 1987. For decades, our work has been about computers — repairing them, rebuilding them and finding ways to keep useful technology working for longer.

When Ukrainians began arriving in Ireland following the Russian invasion, that experience provided an opportunity to help.

What began with preparing donated laptops for Ukrainian refugees in Ireland developed into a much wider effort. Computers and other equipment donated by people and organisations in Ireland can be refurbished and given a second life supporting people and communities affected by the war.

Today, the charity brings together technical knowledge, donated equipment and volunteer effort with a simple purpose: turn technology that is no longer needed in Ireland into technology that is needed in Ukraine.
