Computers change lives

The value of a donated computer isn’t measured only by the hardware.

For the first Ukrainian refugees supported by Laser Computers in Ireland, laptops provided ways to keep in contact with home, do homework and complete practical tasks such as employment and PPS applications.

The same principle is behind the charity today.

A refurbished computer can give a child access to education. It can help a school replace equipment it has lost. It can provide an organisation with the technology needed to continue its work. And it can connect people separated by war.

The impact also reaches Ireland. Equipment that might otherwise become electronic waste is repaired, reused and given a productive second life.

This is where we put the real numbers and evidence as the project grows: computers delivered, organisations helped, schools supported, volunteer contribution, photographs from deliveries and individual stories from Ukraine.
